What are we there to talk about?

A few things we could happily lose an afternoon to:

Running Laravel at scale. On any given day we have 20-25 Laravel projects live at once, built and maintained by 100+ engineers for clients in the UK, Germany, the US, and here in the Nordics. If you want to trade notes on what holds up at that volume and what quietly does not, pull up a chair.

AI agents that can stand up to an auditor. On PP Mobius our agents work through FCA-regulated compliance reviews, and every decision has to expose its evidence and confidence to a human reviewer. Getting an agent to form an opinion was never the hard part - making that opinion inspectable and testable was. It is why we wrote pest-plugin-evals to run evals against Laravel AI SDK agents.

The legacy codebase your team keeps avoiding. Untangling and rescuing old systems is real, recurring work for us, and a far more interesting conversation than any service overview.

 

What are we looking forward to on stage?

One slot above all others. On Friday afternoon, Taylor Otwell and David Heinemeier Hansson sit down together for a fireside chat hosted by Mathias Hansen. The creator of Laravel and the creator of Ruby on Rails, on the same stage, in conversation rather than in keynote mode. Two people who each shaped how a generation of web developers thinks about building software, and they almost never share a stage. Whatever gets said, that is the room we want to be in.

The rest of the two days earn their place too. Sebastian Bergmann, creator of PHPUnit, opens Thursday with Test-Driven Security. Ondrej Mirtes of PHPStan makes the case for rules over prompts when coding agents are involved. Freek Van der Herten on package patterns, Pauline Vos on why investing in open source matters, Shane Rosenthal on NativePHP 2026, and Aaron Francis with a talk titled simply "What do we do now?". Sixteen speakers in total - the full schedule is on the official site.

None of this stops when the conference does. We put the same energy into the ecosystem all year - open-source tooling, our Laravel + React Bootcamp, which is about to open applications for its twelfth batch, and the first official Laravel Meetup in Georgia, which pulled in more than a hundred people and returns for its second session this October.
